In most cases the following pricing structure will apply. All work is accepted on the basis of a quotation supplied to you in writing prior to commencement of the work. Quoted prices are valid for at least 20 days from the date of the quotation.
Translation
Prices are based on a pro rata rate per 1,000 words. Documents of under 400 words are charged at the Minimum Charge of £30 for the translation of the whole document.
Proof Reading
This is based on a rate per hour (£30/hr - discounts available on large projects). Proofreading cannot be charged by the word because the time taken depends on the skills of the translator who undertook the original translation. A correction tool is used to show the original and corrected versions of the translated text.
The following rule of thumb applies – the better the translated text the shorter the time for proofreading. Best to get a good professional translator in the first place when commissioning the translation!
Payment
If you are not currently using my services on a regular basis you will not have an account and will need to settle between 50-100% of the quoted cost of the work in advance. Credit references will be required to set up a 30 day account and this can be applied for after the first two projects have been completed.
VAT
No VAT is added to the prices so there is no VAT administration for companies and no VAT for those who are not VAT registered.
